Nesthy Petecio shares Olympic rewards with family

Olympic medalist Nesthy Petecio has generously distributed the rewards she received from her Olympic achievements to her family, showcasing her deep commitment to her loved ones.

In a recent interview, Petecio, who garnered millions in incentives for her performances in the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, revealed that she has allocated the house and lots she received to her siblings.

The women’s boxing champion explained that these properties were given entirely to her family, while her investments are aimed at preparing for a future retirement with her relatives.

“The house and lots I received from the Tokyo Olympics were given to my siblings. They are my priority,” Petecio stated. “Additionally, I have invested in land for future security.”

In 2021, Petecio was awarded a house and lot worth PHP 2.5 million by a property developer in Candelaria, Quezon Province. She had previously mentioned that the property was designated for her youngest sister.

“Para sa kanila muna bago ako,” Petecio affirmed, highlighting her focus on supporting her family.

Looking to the future, Petecio expressed her desire for a simple life after retiring from boxing. “My goal is to live a simple life in the province, close to my family,” she shared.

Petecio’s decision to prioritize her family and her humble plans for the future have earned her praise from netizens, many of whom believe she is truly deserving of her Olympic success.
