Stories had been going around in the past years that President Ferdinand E. Marcos is still alive. That he walks among us like ordinary people but has undergone surgery to cover his face. Some also say that his corpse is not the real Ferdinand, but just a wax in human form.

There was a story that circulated in emails years ago of a woman seeing the former President in a wedding in Manila. The woman also checked his signature and it matched the Marcos signature. She later knew that his true status is being kept top secret.

When asked about why the corpse looks like wax, the Marcos family said it has to be waxed occasionally to preserve the body.
