“First of all, this is not just an ordinary boycott campaign. They (Sofitel) were the first to boycott UNTV, the only Public Service Channel in the Philippines.
They even removed in their TV hotel programming a station that helps the poor and needy for almost ten years.

A few hours ago, this was posted by UNTV – Your Public Service Channel Facebook Fan page. Immediately, the post received numerous likes, shares, and different reactions from the social media users.
UNTV claims that Sofitel boycotted them first. According to them, the five-star luxury resort hotel also removed the only station that helps the poor and those that were treated badly by the society. The station is very disappointed by what the hotel did to small channels like them that have a heart for other people.
Through their post, UNTV CEO and Chairman Daniel Razon encourages the public to support the Sofitel boycott campaign by spreading the word and posting the “No To Sofitel” campaign photo and using the hashtags #NotoSofitel #BoycottSofitelPH, SOBRA NA! TAMA NA!

What exactly did Sofitel Philippines do? They just withdrew their ad? Is that it? Please clarify.
Here’s a better response after some discussion> WHAT EXACTLY DID SOFITEL PHILIPPINES DO? They intentionally removed UNTV from their programming. Why? So that Centennial guests won’t view UNTV. Why? Because Bro. Eli will surely be found there criticizing their beliefs. So? This can be a deception of all deceptions! We now BOYCOTT SOFITEL!

Hindi nyo kailangang pag sigawan na nkakatulong ang UNTV sa mga mahihirap, di nyo kailangang pag diinan na kayo ang numero unong estasyon na nkakatulong sa kapwa. Una walang karapatan ang sofitel na tanggalin ang UNTV sa channel listing nila dahil walang nilalabag na batas ang UNTV sa polisiya ng pagtetelibisyon. Sa halip, ang sofitel ang lumalabag sa isang desisyon ng NTC na ang UNTV ay isang “must carry” channel kagaya ng ibang local channel sa Pilipinas.
Kung ang ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya at GMA Kapuso Foundation ang nag sabi ng nakakatulong sila sa mga nasalanta ng mga kalamidad, panunumbat ba yon? Hindi naman siguro. Sa pagsasabi mo ba na tumulong ka e nangangahulugan na naghihintay ka ng kapalit? Hindi rin siguro.
Ang Boycott ba eh maituturing na isang paghihiganti, lalong hindi. Boycott is just a staement na hindi ka sangayon sa ginawa ng isang individual o entity. Sa isang establishment na nagdedescriminate ng iba, dapat lang yun sa kanila.

If a hotel doesn’t have the tv channel that you want then don’t go to it. Basically, ang mga tao ba pumupunta ng hotel para manood lang ng TV? I think they would rather sleep, read and surf the net. Yung mga pumupunta ba ng hotel naghahanap ng charity na makakatulong sa kanila or tutulungan nila? I just really don’t see the point sa pag boycott ‘nyo. Chineck ‘nyo ba ung ibang hotel kung may telecast din na UNTV ‘nyo? kasi Sofitel lang ang pinupuntirya ‘nyo. If you’ve noticed, hindi nirereport sa news yang pag boycott ‘nyo kasi grupo ‘nyo lang yan. It doesn’t speak for all citizens.
I am a Citizen too, a viewer of UNTV, and currently in UAE. One of these days I’ll go home and find a decent hotel. Ofcourse I’ll sleep, read, check my email, and eat… and watch TV… and so on. I work abroad and I don’t have the chance to help people because nationals here are richer than me so going home is my Chance to Charity. My point to boycott Sofitel is on behalf of Pilipino Citizens who support Charity and Humanity. Oh My dear! I stayed in different hotels there and YES I can watch UNTV ( I prefer this channel than watching shows in big channels with half naked ladies!) “What you can see is only small, round view of a sky inside the well… try to climb up and see the vast, entirety, and wonder of our sky” =)

Like I’ve said, then don’t go to Sofitel! Go to the hotels you said have this channel. It’s as easy as that. I think the reason why none of the channels here publicized your issue is because like me, they don’t agree with you and that what you’re fighting for is just for your group. Also, if you really want to help a charity or whoever, then don’t find an excuse. It doesn’t matter where you live or what group you belong to just as long as you have the sincere intention to help. Kapag di napaboran ng isang kumpanya ang ADD, dinidikdik ito hanggang sa madurog. Pero pag napaboran, halos itinatayo pa sa convention center nila sa Apalit at papalakpakan na parang Diyos palibhasa meron silang habol sa mga ito. Removal of UNTV from the list of channels are Sofitel’s business and not ADD. UNTV doesn’t deserve to be reinstated, ugali niong mapangboycott pag di nio nagustuhan ay asal di Kristiano. All hotels in the Philippines must boycott UNTV and remove them from the channel list. No foreigner even dare to watch programs of UNTV unless he or she’s an ADD cult member because UNTV’s programs are of no quality and sense.
