Kapuso primetime royalties Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera dominated the trending topics on micro-blogging site Twitter after Dantes announced his engagement proposal to Rivera on national TV, during the Rivera’s dance show “Marian” on August 9, on GMA Network.

While holding Rivera’s hand, Dantes asked the actress who is celebrating her birthday in the show., “May isang bagay na malinaw sa’kin, is that I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. Kaya ngayon, saksi ang mga mahal natin sa buhay, gusto kong ipagsigawan sa buong mundo, na ikaw ang sagot sa aking mga dasal. That’s why tonight, I offer you this gift, on your birthday, something that’s beyond any material thing or tangible one, but I offer you myself, my love, today and all the days of my life. Please, Marian, will you be my wife?”
Rivera will turn 30 on August 12 and was celebrating her 30th birthday in the episode and her loved ones, including her mom and grandmother were present with Dantes’s parents and cousins.
Rivera accepted the offer by giving him a kiss on the lips. The two have yet to reveal the date of their wedding and other details as of writing. She will turn 30 on August 12.
