“Filipinos, wherever they go, they will always shine. They are one of the most talented all over the world, especially when it comes to singing. They have long conquered the international music scene and will continue to do so.”
Rachel Lara Panguiton, who recently turned 10, is yet another young singer superstar in the making and this time, in the north of Europe, the land of the Danish people, Denmark.
She got everyone’s attention April of this year when she qualified for Denmark’s The Voice Junior. Singing “Price Tag” during the blind auditions, she got one of the male judges turned, with Sharin Foo hoping she could have pushed the button. Her dad, mom, sister and cousin were all there, crying when she got accepted.
According to her mother, Rachel has always been dreaming to join The Voice and be seen on TV since she was a kid. And it became a real, even more than they expected.
“I love to sing and my dad and my mom and my sisters help me a lot,” added Rachel.
Although she wasn’t able to make it in the final round last June 26, she is now making a wave in Denmark with her powerful voice and amazing personality. She’s now one of the young rising stars in the country, making each and every Filipino proud.
To quality and be able to represent the Filipinos is something that we are very proud of, one her Pinoy fans said.
She even has her own website where everyone can access updates about her upcoming concerts and other activities. Her journey all throughout the competition are also well documented including family events. Check out rachellara.dk — Rachel Lara and Family Official Site.
And last August 29, she had her first ever solo concert in Horsens, with all her young Danish fans in attendance. Indeed, she is now Denmark’s newest singing stars.
