Children, believed to be ghosts or demons, with all-black eyes are raising terror in the town of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, England. It is still unknown why the supposed stories only involve children but it was believed this could be because of the child murders in the area before the 1980s.
Children Screaming
According to Birmingham Mail, an eyewitness detailed how she was walking her daughter by the forest when they heard the screams of a child. Worried that the child could be in grave danger, they hastened to find her but had a hard time. By the time they gave up, they found the child.
When they tried to speak with the child, however, they were horrified to see that her eyes were all black. They fled the forest in terror.
Another story was posted on Paranormal Cannock, this time about the experience of the author’s aunt some 30 years ago. The lady also heard a screaming child in the forest, so she immediately tried to find it.
She met a child running in the opposite direction, screaming, “help mommy, help”. Thinking the child’s mother was in grave danger, the lady immediately followed the child. Though the child was quite small, the woman found it hard to keep up.
With the light beginning to grow dim, she had a difficult time pushing through the thick forest so that she fell on her face and stubbed her toe. Even with the wound, she got up and continued to follow the girl, all the while thinking about the woman they are trying to save.
When it was clear that they were running deeper into the thickest part of the forest, she asked the child to stop. To her horror, the child looked quite eerie and had coal-black eyes. The woman ran away as fast as she could.
At the hospital, she sought help from the authorities to check on the child and the mother she was talking about. The police searched the forest with their K9 units yet found no trace of the black eyed child and her mom.
Children Knocking on Doors
A man’s story was creepier than those of the ladies’ accounts. On Paranormal Cannock, a man told the story of how he encountered several of these children at once. He claimed they knocked on his door and quietly asked for help.
One of them wanted to use the bathroom while the other supposedly wanted to call their parents for help. When he let them in, however, the first child hurried upstairs, though he did not tell it there’s a bathroom there.
The second one directly went to the hall to use the phone but he had not given instructions yet. Puzzled, he followed the one in the hall but got frightened upon seeing it had all-black eyes. Scared now, he tried to run away but the third child was waiting for him at the end of the hall.
“We were asked to collect you,” said the children, adding to his fright.
He managed to get away from the children, escaping to a bedroom and locking its doors. After waiting for an hour, he bolted from the room and out the house without looking back.
It is quite scary how these incidents occur in Cannock Chase, especially because the kids even appear during daytime.
Are they ghosts of murdered children from the past or demonic children from hell, sent to collect the sinners in town? Whatever they may be, I wouldn’t want to ever see them in the forest or have then knocking at my front door!
