Teen Robbed and Killed A Man With P100 In Pocket

Sta. Cruz Manila – Yesterday, September 2, 2014, several blocks away from his home, 52-year-old Benedicto dela Cruz was attacked by 4 robbers at the corner of Fugoso and Natividad streets

A CCTV footage shows dela Cruz fighting back the robbers until he was stabbed twice by one of its members.

According to the police, the family driver was on his way to work at 4AM on Tuesday when this happened. Upon investigation, they said that an ice pick was used to stab dela Cruz, leading to his death.

During an interview with the victim’s live-in partner, she said that dela Cruz only had P100 in his pocket and his bag contained only his packed meal and a toothbrush, which all were taken by the suspects.

The officials of the baranggay said they will schedule longer hours for foot patrols to guard the vicinity.

The barangay and police have leads to the group responsible for the crime. According to them, the group that attacked dela Cruz has been involved in several robbery in the area.

Today, Wednesday, a 16-year-old was arrested  for the robbery and slaying of dela Cruz. The 3 other suspects are still at large.
