In this world of Photoshop and camera filters, it is quite easy to fake your appearance so you would look thinner, sexier, and more beautiful than the real you. For example, on Facebook and Instagram, you’d often see gorgeous photos of your virtual friends, yet wonder whether they really look the same in person, right?
Now, what happens if you go on a ‘blind’ date with someone you only knew online, someone you thought was gorgeous and sexy, yet it turns out he/she is obese?
The guys at Simple Pickup created a social experiment and posted 2 videos on YouTube, exploring what could possibly happen to these dates. According to them, when it comes to online dating, the number one fear for women is that they will meet a serial killer while men tend to be afraid they would meet someone fat.

Fat Girl Tinder Date
In this video, a gorgeous girl named Sarah lined up 5 dates on Tinder (a social media site), using her sexy pictures. Then, on the day of the date, she dons a fat suit and larger clothes so she would look obese.

As you can see in the video, the guys were quite appalled by what they thought was a blatant lie on Sarah’s part. Only of the guys was brave enough to stick around to complete the date. At the end of the clip, Sarah revealed the social experiment to his utter disbelief.
Fat Boy Tinder Date
It is the same situation but the roles are reversed. This time, a guy named Willy used his regular photos to line up dates with 5 ladies, then arrived on the day looking like an obese guy.

It was almost the same, yet also different, right? Although the ladies were certainly surprised to see he looked much different than the guy in the picture, most of them did stick around and even agreed to meet up for another date.
What’s quite surprising is that one girl even kissed him on the lips. It brings things to a different perspective, right?
