MANILA, Philippines- After his sex scandal photos surfaced online, Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado has issued an apology to his family and supporters.
Tallado delivered his speech in front of his supporters to ask for forgiveness.
He said: “Kung ako po ay nagkamali, tao lang po ako. May kahinaan din po ako. Ito po ay sana unawain nating lahat,”
Urging people to stop the circulation of his sensitive photos and videos, Tallado stressed that the scandal has nothing to do with his work as a governor.
Earlier, Tallado reported that his wife, Josefina “Josie” Tallado and her assistant were missing and speculated that they were kidnapped. The governor even created Task Force “Josie” in order to find his missing wife.
Five days after Josie’s disappearance, the governor’s wife surfaced on national television. Josie denied reports that she was kidnapped and revealed she escaped their house because of threats by the governor.
In her interview with ABS-CBN’s Umagang kay Ganda, Josie said: “”Hindi po ako nawawala at hindi ako nakidnap.
According to Josie, her husband accused her of posting a nude photo of his alleged mistress on Facebook. Josie feared for her life because her husband had a gun tucked behind while he was confronting her.
Although Josie denied uploading the photo, she admitted seeing husband’s sex video with his 24-year-old mistress last month.
