Dropbox Passwords Leaked : Denies it was Hacked

Just recently a lot of Dropbox leaked passwords appeared on Reddit.

Dropbox is a cloud-storage similar to iCloud which is exclusive to iPhone but a lot of people have DropBox accounts because Samsung gives it for free for selected flagship models.

As of now it’s still unknown where they got the passwords, the guys who uploaded the file were also asking for bitcoin donations to upload more passwords.

That quote was written on every post that was uploaded, some people on the thread including me tried one of the passwords written, and it worked. TheNextWeb asked dropbox about the leaked passwords and recieved this statement

Dropbox has not been hacked. These usernames and passwords were unfortunately stolen from other services and used in attempts to log in to Dropbox accounts. We’d previously detected these attacks and the vast majority of the passwords posted have been expired for some time now. All other remaining passwords have been expired as well.

So for those who have a DropBox account I recommend you to change your password, and if your one of the people who has a universal password your accounts might be in danger too.
