Filipinos beat the Guinness World Record set by Israelis having “The Most Hair Donated to Charity in One Day” last October 23 at SM Center Valenzuela. The former brought out 73.35 kilograms (161.7 pounds). The previous record was 53.1 kilograms (117 pounds).
This grand epic campaign was made possible by Cuts Against Cancer-DonateYourHair.Org founded by Ran Fridman to help and give second life to kids and women with Cancer by donating other’s hair which will serve as new quality medical wigs for them.
DonateYourHair.org is thanking everyone for being with them giving selfless support and generous cooperation. They are looking forward that Guinness World Records will recognize this humane endeavor. “Our vision, if [we’ll] do make [a] project called “Hair Donated in Philippines and Wigs Made in Philippines”, we will create jobs [here] and make wigs [for them to use].” the founder says. Moreover, their hope is not far from reality in creating a “Wigs Bank” where any child or woman with cancer can come anytime and get free real human hair wig at any hospital to wear until their hair start to grow again.
