Did you know that farting possibly lowers blood pressure? Hmmm Does that mean it would now be alright and beneficial (!) to fart in public? LOL The question is, would you DARE fart in public? Every single angle about this crazy news amazed us, really.
According to NBC News (told you it’s not hoax…), Johns Hopkins neuroscientist Dr. Solomon H. Snyder was able to prove in extensive research that hydrogen sulfide, a chemical also found in fart, was proven to relax the blood vessels and prevent hypertension.
Snyder was not the only scientist at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in the US to research on the role of fart in lowering blood pressure.
The catch here is that all the studies which proved that fart lowers blood pressure were done in mice! So, unless you are a mouse, you might have to think twice before farting in public and telling the people you are merely helping lower their blood pressure.
They are still do extensive research on the role of fart in lowering blood pressure in humans. All these hoopla about fart and hypertension makes me wonder why they even thought about doing a research about the subject in the first place!
Anyway, because of this recent discovery, researchers in Southeast University in Nanjing, China, are trying to develop a form of treatment that could make use of fart to prevent hypertension. We could just imagine a person with high blood pressure being placed inside a chamber filled with fart…hmmm I don’t think I would ever have the guts to try that form of, errrrr, alternative medicine.
How about you? Would you be willing to try fart medicine?
