With these vocal issues with the diva now, Mariah Carey will inevitably go down as one of today’s greatest vocalists. When Mariah Carey kicked off “The Elusive Chanteuse Show” in Japan last night, she struggled to perform some of her biggest hits. It was so painful to watch. Factually speaking, voices change. And while there exists ample debate as to what’s happened/happening to Mariah’s, we just wish she’d employ less obvious means of covering up the clear problem. A problem which has been increasingly apparent over the last 10 years of her career.

Based on the video of her performance above, after wrapping the first night on the Asian leg of her new tour, Carey sounded winded — and she missed more than a few notes. This disturbing footage has emerged of the diva struggling with a number of songs.
Carey has been there singing for over 3 decades. But I don’t think age has anything to do with it. She just needs to take care of herself. And this goes for any divas out there. Singing is an exercise. Just like you sometimes get charlie horses when you work out, sometimes a singer hits a bad note.

Mariah has been and will always be my favorite, but I’ve said from day one that I’m nervous about this tour. Her voice isn’t what it used to be. I wish she would realize that. I don’t think she should be on tour at all. It’s not the right time for her mentally or vocally. Well, for some fans, her presence is already enough!
