Valerie Clacio Weigmann from Camarines Sur was crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 at a pageant held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
Valerie Clacio Weigmann bested 25 other contestants during the glitzy coronation night of Miss World Philippines 2014. The 5-foot-9 stunner represented the Province of Albay, Bicol Region was the crowd favorite as she won six of the 11 special awards given out earlier in the program including Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown. Her winning answer in the question why she should be the next Miss World Philippines, “I believe in empathy and compassion. We can all be advocates of change.”
Weigmann will represent the Philippines to this year’s Miss World pageant to be held in London on December 14, 2014.
Weigmann joined “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” in 2008, where Ejay Falcon was named winner. After “PBB,” the 24-year-old beauty queen went on to star in TV commercials, co-host of noontime show “Eat Bulaga” and appear on the cover of the June issue of Rogue Magazine in 2013.
The other winners of the pageant were: 4th Princess: Rachel Peters, 3rd Princess: Nicole Donesa, 2nd Princess: Nelda Ibe and 1st Princess: Lorraine Kendrickson.
VALERIE WEIGMANN is from ALBAY and not Camarines Sur.
She officially represented Albay province in the Miss World Philippines pageant.
And, in fact, she will have her triumphant homecoming tomorrow as the new Miss World-Phil. in Albay .
