Jayson Bernard Santos, on his Facebook account, put their virtual backlot reel for the world to see, and it’s spectacular. See below the incredible shot-by-shot comparisons from the series “Ilustrado” of what’s real and what’s been superimposed onto a green-screen without any of us knowing.
With the correct video software and camera, the “green screen” technology — a film technique in which actors perform in front of a blank screen, typically green or blue, that is later replaced by an alternate background — has been available for years, but mostly for big-budget feature films and TV series. Local movies like “Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles” and “Kung Fu Divas” are two of the Pinoy full-length feature film shot entirely on green screen. This is the same technology and tools that help bring Hollywood movies to life.

GalinG! More shows like this sana. Pinagkagastusan.. pinaghandaan. pinagpaguran.. at educational…
Wow.. Grabe talaga. Nakakahanga na ang palabas mas nakakahanga pa ang behind the scenes. Napakagaling umarte ng mga karakter. Nakakahanga. Pang world class talaga ang ilustrado.
Usually when I watch Filipino telenovelas, It is easy to recognize the green screen shots. I would always say “Ang corny talaga magedit ng (insert any network here)”. I actually watched Illustrado just for one time, but this green screen shots are awesome. Keep up doing the good work GMA! Kudos to all the Illustrado staffs, casts and producers.

SUPERB!!
It’s high time we use good editing! Yung ibang shows, corny yung pagka-edit. Yung tipong parang bata yung gumawa and parang di pinagkagastusan.
