12 Years After His Surgery, This Man Was Shocked What The Doctor Found Inside His Stomach

Kazakhstan – 53-year-old Karp Ponomaryov underwent a life-saving surgery more than 10 years ago. But something went terribly wrong. A medical staff mistakenly forgot remove a 20-centimeter pair of surgical scissors inside his body.

For 12 years, Karp suffered from intense stomach aches after consuming hefty meals. He did not complain because he’s too happy with his surgery.

A month ago, he lost his appetite and started losing weight, which urged him to  sought medical help.

According to Doctor Baurzhan Aybaev who examined his xray, “I’ve never seen anything like this, maybe a surgical swab occasionally but a huge piece of surgical equipment like that should have been missed or at least noticed sooner. It must have been painful. It appears the surgeon, who retired three-years-ago and has since died, forgot them in patient’s body during a surgery 12-years-ago.He now needs another surgery to remove the scissors.”

The patient asked to have the scissors immediately removed. Karp added that he will sue the hospital.
