Have you missed an important call because you were in the shower? Are you afraid of using your phone in public as it may be snatched? Have you experienced being scold at by your boss just because you weren’t able to read an urgent email? Well, those concerns will not be a problem anymore in the future, with your phone or tablet on your skin, what’s there to miss?
Cicret, a technology company, co-founded by Guillaume Pommier, has invented the concept of the Cicret bracelet, which allows its users to access data information from smartphones and tablets on your skin.
How does the Cicret bracelet work? The bracelet will project what’s in your tablet or phone screen by a tiny projector (pico projector) using WiFi. It has eight long-range proximity sensors, which can detect any movement you usually do on your gadget to help you navigate and use it on your skin.
Aside from its pico projector, WiFi and sensors, the Cicret bracelet will also have an accelerometer, a memory card, processor, vibrator, a micro usb port, bluetooth and LED. The device will not have a sim card slot since it will be used with a smartphone or tablet.
Although the bracelet is still a concept, netizens and techies have different opinions on the new technology. Some are excited to use it because of its convenience, and some say that the technology isn’t possible yet. However, Pommier, in a news from the Daily Mail, has claimed that the Cicret bracelet will revolutionize the technology world.
The Cicret bracelet is a revolutionary device which could completely change how we access information.
Though the company already has made its first moulding, the prototype is yet to be released in three weeks according to Pommier, in a report on Gizmag.
Currently, the Cicret company is accepting donations for the creation of the technology, needing at least 700,000 euros to finish the bracelet prototype. As of writing, the company has already over 3,000 donors. Moreover, Cicret is expected to release the technology in June next year and may cost from 300 to 400 euros.
So, will this new technology become a reality soon? Let’s just wait and see. For now, let’s hold on to Pommier’s promise of revolutionizing wearable technology, and let’s watch the video to see how we can use our tablets on our skin:
