Following the controversial comment of Korina Sanchez last December 3 on TV Patrol, stating that she wishes Typhoon Ruby will head towards Japan, many people have been waiting on what’s next for her career. As many netizens were ired by her statement, the public has been waiting for any official statement either from Sanchez or from her TV Network, ABS-CBN. However, just a few hours ago today, a news stating that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has declared Korina Sanchez as persona non grata in Japan circulated over the internet. But, is there any truth to it?
Last year, Sanchez was also involved in a controversial issue with CNN’s Anderson Cooper when she commented on her radio show that Cooper “does not know what he is talking about.” In response to this, Cooper also declared a statement daring Sanchez to visit Haiyan-stricken areas. This made news, not just on the internet, but on the international media as well.
So, has PM Abe already declared Sanchez as persona non grata in Japan in response to her comment?
In an article from So, What’s News?, Abe was quoted saying,
I am very saddened to hear reports of schadenfreude coming from a TV anchor, who just last year, was put in her place by Mr. Anderson Cooper of CNN.
Although the website is a satirical one, many netizens reacted to the news and it was even posted in other websites like Southomer, Amigong Bisaya, and Centertech News.
Currently, the article has gained more than 100 votes and over 1,000 comments on So What’s News?. This maybe what people have been expecting since Sanchez made her tactless comments on TV. Moreover, it seems like many Roxas-Sanchez haters are enjoying the satirical news. With this kind of response from the public, people are now anticipating what will happen next. So far, this is not yet the end of this issue, but the beginning of yet another bad publicity for the news anchor.
It is a normal occupational hazards being a reporter. It can happen to anybody not only to korina. Why zero in korina while noli did his part also ? At times becomes unlucky on his carrier that problems may happen. And at times leads to downgrades to her carrier. Destiny is something cannot be prevented. We just don’t know she goes up or go down. Only time can tell.

Such a knowledgeable person but not to be considered as mannered. Sa buhay lahat pantay pantay, everyone deserve to live and enjoy their life the way they wanted to as long as wala tayong nasasagasaang ibang tao.
