A photo of Cong. Leni Robredo while waiting for a bus has gone viral on social media, especially after it was posted by blog RachFeed and picked up by international news site, Kicker Daily.
According to RachFeed, Cong. Robredo did not place herself in the spotlight but had only shared a photo taken by a friend on her own Facebook page. The photo shows her bringing two large bags while standing on a spot identified as a bus stop at the Magallanes Shell Station.
She was on her way home to Naga City. Alone at the bus stop, her friend Keisha del Castillo could not help but take a photo of the humble lawmaker.
In her own post on Facebook, del Castillo said:
The art of riding the bus to Naga: if you can’t catch it in Cubao, you can always try to flag it down at the Magallanes Shell Station. Like Cong. Leni Robredo.
Robredo later confirmed del Castillo’s post by sharing the photo on her own Facebook page, with the following caption:
Yes, that is definitely me. Taken by Keisha del Castillo at the Magallanes Shell Station as I was waiting for my bus last night. Keisha brought me there from McKinley Hill in Taguig after I delivered my Freedom Speech for FNF. Definitely my worst angle but can’t resist posting. Nakakatawa lang. Parang nag alsa -balutan at naglayas ang drama 🙂
Her candid caption and the fact that the photo does not look ‘special’ or staged are among the factors why the photo quickly went viral.

People absolutely loved how Robredo remained humble and fearless despite the changes that happened to her life after her husband’s untimely death in 2012.
There were those who did not approve of the post, saying there was nothing spectacular about the photo because public servants like Robredo should not act like they are above everyone else – yet, that is exactly the reason why the photo went viral!
Robredo, in her simple action of waiting for a bus, had just showed HOW POLITICIANS SHOULD ACT. She showed how politicians should really be with the people, not feel like they were above the rest just because they are already in position.
Truly, Cong. Leni Robredo is an admirable woman just as her late husband, Sec. Jesse Robredo had been an admirable man.

Being simple makes life easier…mingling with people of all walks of life makes one enjoy the feeling of freedom while getting in touch with the true world…going anywhere you want without thinking any negative repercussion of it is something quite special filthy rich people and prominent ones cannot afford to do in public. This because the humble congresswoman has no whims and caprices in herself..unlike other famous public figure who consider themselves specially different and untouchables. Kodus to the humble lady!
