The head of the catholic church leaves glorious smiles among the crowd in country’s capital.
The huge crowd lining in the streets waiting to see Pontiff in person are deeply moved with tears as they finally catch Pope Francis’ glimpse in his Popemobile.
As everyone seems to give him the warmest welcome, a flock goes planning to mess up Pope’s arrival.
On Thursday, ahead of Papal visit an anti-Pope militants apparently rallies displaying banners read “ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE” and “HELL IS NEAR”.
Authorities dismiss the group around the path of Pope’s motorcade. The group is said to hold placards against the 78-year old pontiff, TV5 reported.
This evening, Pope Francis gave his never tiring contagious smiles during his motorcade back to the Apostolic Nunciature after attending full day of activities.
Pope Francis earlier took part in a courtesy call with President Aquino in Malacañang before he went to preside a mass in Manila Cathedral.
This late afternoon, he welcomed with families and the poor at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
On Saturday morning, the pontiff will be flying to Tacloban City to head the concelebrated mass with several Yolanda survivors and a lunch will follow afterwards at the Archbishop’s Residence in Palo, Leyte.
