On New Year’s Day, singer Ricky Martin reportedly died in a tragic car accident where his body was thrown out of the car; though the video report was later determined as just another internet hoax created by people who had nothing better to do.
The badly dubbed video showed what appeared to be the spokesman for the police department in San Diego issuing an official statement regarding the incident but by watching the video closely, viewers will realize the audio does not match the movements of his mouth.

The ‘incident’ was reported by Primer Impacto, detailing how the singer, whose full name is Enrique Martin Morales, died on impact from the crash on a freeway in Los Angeles, CA. The singer was supposedly driving a brand-new BMW convertible when the accident happened.
This purported ‘incident’ allegedly caused heavy traffic for hours before that freeway was cleared. A ‘witness’ lamented how they waited for 2 hours before they were finally able to leave the scene.
The story was, of course, a hoax – though many people quickly picked it up as real news. In fact, the ‘news’ reached Ricky Martin who quickly tweeted a photo of a beautiful beach with the tongue-in-cheek caption, “Hello from #heaven”.
