Paddington is a 2014 British comedy film based on the best selling books with the same title, directed by Paul King and written by King and Hamish McColl and produced by David Heyman.
The film is based on Paddington Bear by Michael Bond who receives an appearance credit in the movie as the Kindly Gentleman. The film starsHugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman, with Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington. The film was released in the United Kingdom on 28 November 2014. The film received positive reviews from film critics.
The film is based on Paddington Bear by Michael Bond, whom after his home was destroyed by an earthquake and finds himself traveling to England to find a home. The young bear reaches London but fails to find a home, until he is taken in briefly by the Brown family, who name him.
And now here in Philippines, Xian Lim is the official voice of the said popular bear, Paddington. Xian is excited when he knew about his new venture as the voice of this bear. It was his first animated character and he was chosen with flying colors.
In the interview during his presscon held in Ibarra Plaza, Timog Ave, QC last January 23, 2015, he said;
“I am not expecting that they will choose me to voice Paddington, definitely, I have to practice it especially some British accent and some stuffs, but the good thing was, when we submitted the demo recorded copy to them, they thought it was the same as the original voice, so, that’s when Captive Cinema, the local distributor, informed Xian as the official voice for Paddington.”
Paddington will be showing on February 11, 2015, in theaters nationwide, rated G, suited for family and a perfect gift for Valentines.
