A 54-year-old Japanese man allegedly drugged and assaulted at least 39 women during his fake sleep research.

According to authorities, Hideyuki Noguchi posed as a doctor to lure women to participate in a bogus clinical study that will determine their blood pressure while sleeping. Reportedly, Noguchi offered the women sedatives and filmed his act while they were passed out inside different hotels and resorts in Tokyo, Osaka, Chiba, Shizuoka, and Tochigi.

Noguchi, who did not have any medical training, was busted after videos of the assault surfaced online. Based on reports, the conman sold the video to  sites and earned as much as $100,000.

Now under the custody of Chiba Police, Noguchi admitted that he has assaulted about 100 women beginning 2012 after he posted an ad in online sites. Women as young as teenagers up to those in their 40’s were sought in the ad.
