Valentines is in the air. A lot of artists are now busy preparing for their Valentine’s show. One of them is X Factor grand winner, KZ Tandingan.
Kristine Zhenie Lobrigas Tandingan, born March 11, 1992 in Digos, Davao del Sur, Philippines, more popularly known as KZ Tandingan, is a Filipino singer who rose to fame after winning the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012. KZ Tandingan started singing as a child but had to stop when she was in her junior year in high school after suffering from a throat problem. Tandingan is an alumna of University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City and had graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. Before she joined The X Factor Philippines, Tandingan was part of a local acoustic band.
KZ Tandingan is more popoular to some hits from Himig Handog PPOP Lovesongs like Somingo Rosco’s “Scared to Death” in 2013 and won as 4th placer and same year she had launched her first album called “KZ Tandingan”.
Last year 2014, she was hailed as the Grand Winner for Himig Handog PPOP Lovesongs when she interpreted the song from Edwin Marollano entitled “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako“.
During the presscon held at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, she mentioned that she is excited and quite nervous for this show because of some big artists who will have their shows too. She even said that it is her first time to spend Valentines with other people because she usually spend it with family.
When being asked about what to expect on her show, she said and I quote;
“Sana ay makanta ko ‘yung love songs niyo. Dito ‘yung songs will tackle ‘yung stages of love, yung nagmahal na brokenhearted ka, you give love a second chance and when you realized na it is time to move on,” she explained.
Right now, KZ Tandingan is working on her new album containing her original compositions and a collaborations with Abra and Gloc-9. She will be more involved with the production of her music and hopes to release it this year.
Meanwhile, she is also busy preparing for her first ever Valentine Dinner Show entitled “KZ 4 U” on Valentines Day, February 14, 2015, 8pm at the Grand Ballroom of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. She will be featuring her guest performers like Star In A Million finalist Jimmy Marquez and other surprise guests. This is produced by Pink management Production Inc and Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
