Two pilots who had thrilled audiences for their acrobatic stunts was killed when their trainer aircraft crashed upside-down on the water during the celebration of Nasugbu’s 70th Liberation day happened on January 31. The aircraft took off from the Fernando Air Base in Lipa City at 9:07 a.m., to join the a 3-aircraft formation training mission.
The disturbing video footage was obtained by a netizen which shows the trainer aircraft turn upside-down while the audiences watch a disaster to happen taking the lives of two men.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), 2 people were killed in the crash. Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Ernesto Canaya in an interview identified the two fatalities of trainer aircraft SF-260FH Nr 1034 as 1st Lt. Nazer Jana and Capt. John Bayao.
