MTV Music Evolution is a live music concert that brings to life the evolution of a music genre and enables young people to experience and discover how music styles and sounds have evolved over the years. MTV Music Evolution marks its inauguration 2015 edition with a feature on hip hop, showcasing iconic and contemporary hip hop acts from both international and local music scenes on a single stage, while featuring the best of Philippine music and culture to international youth audiences.
MTV has entered into a new collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT), through its Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), to showcase iconic international music artists and the hottest new acts in both the regional and local music scenes on a single stage, while featuring the best of Philippine music and culture to international youth audiences.
During the presscon, MTV announces their performers namely Abra, Gloc-9 and Naughty By Nature. MTV Music Evolution is about hip hop music featuring hip hop showcasing iconic and contemporary hip hop acts from both local and international.
The collaboration will see the launch of MTV Music Evolution in the second quarter of 2015, the first live concert globally of its kind to bring to life the evolution of a music genre and enable young people to experience and discover how music styles and sounds have evolved over the years. Recorded live for global telecast, the first edition of MTV Music Evolution will hit the shores of Manila in 2015.
All three acts will share the stage and not only perform before fans in the Philippines at Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, but will reach an international audience of more than three-quarters of a billion households in over 160 countries as the hotly-anticipated show will be recorded live for global telecast under the MTV World Stage global series.

Raymond Abracosa or known as Abra is a Filipino rapper and a songwriter who made Gayuma, Diwata, Ilusyon as the most requested rap songs nowadays.
Naughty By Nature is a Grammy award winning of platinum album selling in the US. The members are Treach, Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee made their hits so famous like their album Anthem Inc.
Another performer is Aristotle Polistico or better known as Gloc-9. Known for his unique way of speaking made a way to stardom in rap music with some of his hit songs called Upuan, Sirena, Bagsakan and more.
Top three performers will definitely showcase their skills in hip hop as they perform on MTV Music Evolution on May 17.

In addition to the MTV Music Evolution, MTV will also help promote local music events organized by the TPB to profile the rich music heritage of the country. MTV Music Evolution will be supported by a wide range of integrated marketing initiatives driving awareness and engagement for the event. Marketing activities with media campaigns across key targeted markets will include consumer promotions, a dedicated micro site, and media campaigns.
MTV Music Evolution will be on May 17, 2015 at exactly 7pm in Quirino Grandstand, Manila. Tickets are for free.
