Filipinos are really talented on their own craft especially in singing. Filipinos are well known for its singing prowess worldwide. And fresh from USA, another Fil-Am made a mark during The Blinds Auditions in The Voice USA.
Nathan Hermida, 17 years old and aspiring singer made an audition for The Voice USA Season 8. Nathan is a first-generation Filipino American who grew up singing during his family’s karaoke nights.
According to nbc.com, he performs in his school choir and an a cappella group, but Nathan’s parents have their hearts set on him going to school for biology. Nathan hopes that with success on The Voice, he will be able to show his parents that the safest option isn’t always the right one.
Filipino-American Nathan Hermida became an early favorite of “The Voice” USA celebrity coaches after sweeping them off their feet with his stunning performance.
Nathan sang “Sure Thing”during the Blind Audition and Rockstar Adam Levine was the first to hit the red button, saying that Nathan will be a top contender in the finals.
Nathan’s sweet voice also made Popstar Christina Aguilera turn for him. Both coaches gave Nathan a standing ovation after his outstanding performace. Christina tried her best to woo Nathan into her team, but in the end, it was Adam who prevailed.
Because of his mind blowing performance, he then was predicted to be in the finals of The Voice USA Season 8.
