Facebook user Danny Balete posted photos of a man who allegedly abducted and victimized his son.
According to Balete, the man walks between Doroteo Jose (LRT stations) to Recto Street to Aranque Market to Isetann, Quiapo. Balete described the man as Chinese, about 50 to 55 years of age, wears eyeglasses, has a tattoo on left shoulder, is about 5’6’ in height and weighs around 180 to 190 lbs.
In his post, Balete narrated the plight his son Joshua apparently experienced with the unidentified man. On February 26, Joshua was coming out of Doroteo Jose LRT Station when the man approached and spoke to him in Amoy dialect.
To lure Joshua into coming with him, the man introduced himself as their relative and told him that he has a wedding invitation for his family.
This gave the man an opportunity to force Joshua inside a sidecar. He allegedly took Joshua into some back streets behind Isetann, Quiapo where he physically hurt him. The man also took Joshua’s cellphone and money inside his wallet.
Fortunately, Joshua was able to come home after the incident.
After hearing about Joshua’s story, Balete immediately went to the area and looked for a man who matched his son’s description. Luckily, he found the man and took some photos of him. Joshua then confirmed that the man in the pictures was indeed the very same man who victimized him.

Balete Asks for Help from Apathetic Policemen
Balete also revealed that the incident occurred “right at the steps of a police outpost at the DJose LRT station.”
After tracking the man, Balete went to the nearby police station to file a complaint. However, the police simply advised him to file the report at the main police station.
“Two senior officers had their feet propped up on chairs, texting. A third junior officer simply told me he was NEW in the area. They all ADVISED me to file the report at the MAIN station – which was actually the CRIME scene, where the phone and money taking and physical hurting happened. Maybe warrants of arrest MUST be filed against these so-called LAW ENFORCERS / OFFICERS. (should have sent them earlier to Mamasapano),” Balete wrote in his comment.
Balete did not disclose whether he went to the main police station to file a complaint against the man.
Moreover, Joshua told Balete that no one was in the police station when the incident happen, allowing the man to force Joshua inside the sidecar.
As of writing, Balete’s post has gone viral getting more than 4,000 shares.
