The alleged recruiter, who duped Filipina worker Mary Jane Veloso into bringing 2.6 kilogram of heroin inside the luggage in Indonesia, has reportedly surrendered to the authorities on Tuesday.
According to media reports, Kristina Sergio surrendered at the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office at 10:30 a.m., saying she fears for her life.

Sergio admitted she heard reports there were some threats against her life.
On Monday, The National Bureau of Investigation-Anti Human Trafficking Division has filed a criminal complaints of illegal recruitment, human trafficking, and estafa againsts Sergio, her live-in partner Julius Lacanilao, and an African national “Ike”.
Lacanilao, who accompanied Sergio to the custody, turned himself into the police.
This as Veloso, along with eight other drug convicts are put in isolation cells at an Indonesian maximum security prison awaiting for the execution anytime soon.
Even there happens no issuance of arrest warrant, Sergio seeked to be place under the security to ensure her safety.
Sergio appealed to receive legal assistance to defend herself from any accusations being thrown at her.
Monday evening, President Widodo instructed his Foreign Minister to convey to the Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs the final view of the Indonesian Attorney General regarding Veloso’s case. The latter says, “all countries whose citizens will be executed will certainly approach the government, but they cannot influence our sovereignty.”
Afterwhich, the Palace released a statement reiterating what Indonesian Attorney General M Prasetyo has said, “there is no basis to reconsider the death sentence; that the execution will need to be enforced.”
