With an ever increasing number of 42 million obese children under the age of five all over the world, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver initiated his latest food petition called #FoodRevolutionDay to educate people, especially children as they’re currently ‘facing a global obesity epidemic’.
“The bottom line is the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify these alarming stats,” he added.
In his online petition, he begs for everyone’s help to make a difference and sign on his campaign to include compulsory food education in schools’ curriculum across the world.
Reaching out to Ed Sheeran for his lyricist capabilities, the British singer came up with a ‘good mood’ eating anthem, tapping Jamie’s rapping skills.
The song features cameo appearance of great singers like Paul McCartney, Jamie Cullum, Alesha Dixon and many more.
Jamie Oliver said on Facebook, “I am honestly lost for words and so I’ll let this video do all the talking.”
What a big movement paired up with awareness given lyrics. The movement takes place on May 15 (British Summer Time). See the result below.
