ABU DHABI, U.A.E. — A 40-year-old Filipina almost died after her Pakistani husband stabbed her in Capital Mall, Abu Dhabi.
According to Khaleej Times, the Filipina was attacked by her husband inside the mall after he was not able to find her and after she was not able to answer his calls. He stole a cleaver from one of the stores in the mall and went back to find his wife who works as a saleslady for cosmetic products.
It was revealed in police investigations that the 60-year-old husband has been suspecting his wife to have an affair with the mall’s security guard and later found some pictures of them together in his wife’s mobile phone.
Luckily, the wife was able to escape her husband, and was brought to the hospital by an ambulance.
The alleged boyfriend of the Filipina was also arrested and is now under investigations.
Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Abu Dhabi Police, stated that marital problems should be resolved logically and in a civil manner. Furthermore, he stated that violence should be avoided in such cases in order to avoid further complications.
