A groom-to-be ditched his own wedding and was arrested, reported by Unang Balita.
An alleged man ran away from his bride on their wedding day was arrested by police on Wednesday in Quezon City.
Bride’s family filed a complaint against the groom who failed to pay the wedding expenses and sensed the guy wasn’t planning to attend in what they thought would be their daughter’s big day.
However, the man explained that he caught a flat tire when heading to the venue.
“Hindi sa hindi ako sumipot, late nga ako. Pagdating ko sa Eco-Park wala na sila,” he said.
Bride’s father thought that his explanation not needed anymore and was actually telling pure lies. “Hindi po ako maniniwala sa ganyan na na-flatan ‘yan. Alam ko dahilan niya lang ‘yun kasi kagabi pa lang nung umalis siya, alam kong tatakas na siya.”
Shocking as it may seem, Groom’s mother, who is based in abroad, gave close to P200,000 cold cash but not a single cent delivered to the wedding coordinator Ging Salonga.
“Nagulat ‘yung mother. Marami na raw binigay kay groom pero wala man lang binigay sa amin si groom,” Salongga said.
It’s more likely that he’ll be spending honeymoon inside the cell.
