“We knew all along that we are on the side of the law.”
This is what Talents Association of GMA-7 labor lawyer Ricardo Lapesura said on Thursday, June 25 in a Rappler interview after a labor arbiter favored the regularization of the talents.

Labor lawyer Ricardo Lapesura had called TAG president Christian Cabaluna, who shed tears when he got the good news.
“As a group advocating for the labor rights of media workers in the Philippines, we consider this a very important milestone for the media industry and we hope that this sets a precedent for other labor issues across all media companies in the country,” TAG told INQUIRER.net
Labor arbiter Julio Gayaman signed the order dated June 22. The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) declared TAG members as regular employees of the network.
Members of TAG filed a labor suit against the network giant in two batches last year, after the latter disapproved to regularize them despite the fact that most of the talents, for decades, have not been entitled to benefits.
