Companies invest millions of pesos in TV ads to send their brand’s message to the public.
For years, they try to come up with the most effective, memorable and captivating TV ads that can either make or break a brand. But what if things don’t go as planned?
Take the case of the Purefoods Sexy Chix commercial featuring Kapatid star Jasmine Curtis which is getting negative criticisms from netizens for allegedly sending a wrong message to TV viewers.
In the 30-second video clip, Jasmine can be seen working out with two other ladies who eagerly shared their diet secrets. While one woman revealed she has been a vegetarian for a month, the other woman disclosed she has been consuming tuna for three days.
In the TVC, they replaced the two women’s heads with the type of food they consume. Meanwhile, Jasmine’s, who highly recommends Purefood Sexy Chix, remained pretty much the same.
Unfortunately, netizens found the concept of the commercial quite offensive.
Check out their comments posted on Jasmine Curtis’s Facebook page.
Interestingly, Jasmine’s older sister Anne Curtis is the endorser of Century Tuna. If that’s the case, then we think the Dyesebel-star is the yummiest tuna you’ll ever catch.
