Does McDonald’s use real potatoes?

There have been rumors on the internet claiming McDonald’s fries don’t have any potato in them. That’s the reason why former MythBusters co-host Grant Imahara visited McDonald’s fry factory and found out what they are made of.

This video was actually produced by McDonald’s to show exactly what goes into its famous fries. The is also part of McDonald’s transparency campaign as a response to whatever hate its American critics want to throw at it.

“I know what you’re thinking,” says Imahara, standing in front of a conveyer belt chugging out french fries. “These look like potatoes, but are they really potatoes?”
