Concerned netizen Ayesha Liezel Danan posted on Facebook a photo of an old woman who was apparently locked inside a gate. Ayesha expressed her concern on the neglected lola‘s welfare and to seek for possible help.

Hndi ko sya kilala pero nakaka awa ang kwento nya, pansinin nyo nka kandado yung pinto, araw araw syang ganyan humihingi ng tulong para makakain, may isa syang anak patay na yung apo nya nasa ibang bansa, ang kasama nya sa bahay ay yung pamangkin. I uploaded this picture to help this old woman. I don’t know her personally, but I find her story heartbreaking. Notice the lock on the gate. Everyday she looks through the gate to ask for food. She has one child who’s already dead and a grandchild who lives abroad. She lives with her niece/nephew. They live in an old house measuring 100 square meters. Her neighbors say they’re intentionally neglecting her so they can sell the house and lot when she dies. Let’s please share this post. #AMEN
