The couple were a part of the first PBB Teen Edition, together with Olyn Meimban and Matt Evans. Their relationship developed during the final weeks of the season where Kim was announced as the big winner and Gerald was runner up.

They were then paired as a love team when they entered show business. They became reel and real life sweethearts whose relationship lasted for four years.

Kim is now linked to her on-screen partner Xian Lim while Gerald is now single.
