Netizen rants about unscheduled stop of LRT-1; Power failure supposedly to blame

The Manila Light Rail Transit System (LRT) gives busy commuters a faster way to reach their destination. This is specifically for those who want to avoid traffic which is a common problem when you use public utility vehicles such as jeepneys, buses, and taxis.

But for some time now, the MRT/LRT has been encountering a lot of glitches that disrupts the services of the system. Netizen A. Dakis shared his agitation about an incident in the early morning of June 6, when the train stopped at Blumentritt, Manila, station in the middle of the rain and rush hour. An LRTA employee asked the passengers to alight the train as the system was placed in “Code Red.” When some of the commuters got off the train, the doors closed leaving the others dumbfounded.
