A not-so-old modus operandi is striking again in Quezon City area. Netizen Anne Manlosa shared her experience riding Lady Allen taxi, which the driver is allegedly involved in the knock-out taxi modus.
According to Anne, her father called a taxi which was not in the taxi lane after they purchased groceries. As soon as they got inside the cab, the driver asked them if they would be adding extra payment since there was traffic. They refused and told to go a different which has less traffic. The driver, identified as Ralph Sacdalan, drived recklessly and commented that they were overloading the cab. As they were travelling to the their destination, Anne already had a hunch that the driver had some questionable plan. The window on the driver’s seat was not closed entirely. She then looked for the driver’s ID which was hard to find. The number information in the taxi was also in sticker instead of painted. Afterwards, they started to feel their chests tighten. When her mother complained that it was hard for her to breathe, Anne then decided for them to be dropped off in the Barangay KalayaanHall.
When they arrived in the Barangay Hall, the driver also complained that he felt dizzy and demanded to be brought to a hospital. He also refused to open the trunk door of the cab until the barangay officials ordered him to.
On a final note, Anne warned the public of this kind of modus. She was grateful that nothing worse happened to them, and hopes that the incident will not happen to any other victims.
