Just this year, a new monkey species was discovered. It’s name may sound kinky for Filipinos, but there is more to its name that is fascinating about this newly confirmed monkey species: the Urubamba brown titi.
So, what’s special about this titi? Here are five facts you should know about these creatures:
7. Titi monkeys are smaller than domesticated cats.
Titis are actually pretty small with a head and body length of 23–46 centimetres (9.1–18.1 in). Their length depends on the kind of titi monkey. On average, titis are smaller than the domesticated cat. Its tail however, is longer at 26–56 centimetres (10–22 in). (Source)
