Salad and eggs
Do you know that eating a vegetable salad with a whole cooked egg can actually get your body to better absorb antioxidants?
A study has proven that ingesting a cooked egg with raw veggies can greatly help your body absorb the carotenoids (a class of antioxidants) from the vegetables. Researchers reckon that it has something to do with the fat and other compounds in the yolk.
Experts advise using the whole egg rather than just the whites. The egg can either be scrambled, poached, boiled or fried.
