On June 12, 2014, Ledi Aml received the worst possible news: that she only had three months to live.
Diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, Ledi had to undergo a series of treatments including chemotherapy, bone marrow biopsy, double cord stem cell transplant, as well as radiation therapy. It was a tough battle for Ledi but with support from her family and doctors, Ledi was able to beat the big C.

Currently, her blood counts are normal, has zero cancer cells and is on her way to recovery.

More than a year after Ledi’s doctor told her she only had a couple of months to live, the cancer survivor decided to share her story along with her photos on Facebook . Titled Brave Heart, her Facebook post has gone viral getting more than 80,000 likes and over 100,000 shares.
“Life is a beautiful struggle. Cancer, I shattered you! You picked the wrong girl.”
