A 34-year-old tricycle driver awaiting passengers at Zamboanga City International Airport didn’t hesitate to do the right thing when he found a bag containing more than P100,000 in cash.
Honest tricycle driver Ronnie Villahermosa turned over the bag left by Colonel Neptali Fenis Bilena of Armed Forces of the Philippines in his tricycle. Apparently, Bilena immediately rode the tricycle Villahermosa was driving since he wanted to chase after the car that brought him to the airport. Bilena revealed that he had left his cellphone in the vehicle.
When Villahermosa returned to the airport, he noticed a small bag in his tricycle.
“Gusto ko ngang balikan pero hindi pwede. Hindi yun bahay, sasakyan yun. Tu-turn-over ko na lang ito sa pulis,” he told ABS-CBN News.
(I wanted to return it but it wasn’t possible. It was’t a house, it was just a car. I will just turn it over to the police.)
Because of Villahermosa’s good deed, Bilena rewarded him P1,000.

Last month, Grab Taxi driver Anselmo Dumapal earned the respect of netizens after returning a mobile phone left by his passenger in his taxi.
Although many drivers in the country are facing poverty, their situations didn’t prevent them from doing an act of kindness.
