6. You’ll get jealous

Okay, friends get jealous when their friends spend time with other people. We get that. But when your ex befriends another pretty girl and you feel a deeper kind of envy, i.e., you don’t want him to be with someone else, that’s another issue.
7. You select the things you share with him

Friends talk about anything—even personal matters. Can you do that with your ex without feeling awkward?
8. You’ll feel less of a person

You will never understand why it’s so easy for him to be “just friends.”
9. It will give you false hope

One of you might feel a spark of hope that there just might be a chance for both of you to get back together.
10. You can’t completely move on

If your goal is to get over him, you won’t, unless you totally disconnect yourself from him.
