A Facebook post by writer James Deakin revealed that the driver of a white CX5 allegedly killed a man who accidentally scraped the former’s car at Frontera Verde Ortigas Ave. on Tuesday, September 15 at around 10 pm.
According to Deakin, the infuriated driver decided to teach the man identified as Delio Bathan a lesson by savagely beating him using a steel pipe (as mentioned by the writer in the comments section of the post). Unfortunately, Bathan sustained severe head trauma and died after the savage beating.
Bathan, a loving husband and a father of three, was supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle in a few months. Sadly, this won’t be possible because of the “trivial, superficial, parking scrape” which Bathan accidentally caused while he was backing out his car.
Several eyewitnesses were able to note down the driver’s conduction sticker and Bathan’s family was able to get the name and address of the registered owner. Moreover, the family was able to secure a hold departure order against the registered owner.
Deakin decided to withhold the information as he is considering the possibility that the registered owner may not be the one driving the car at the time of the incident.
