A foreigner named David Tullet has accused a Filipina (identified as Fate) of scamming him.
Through a Facebook post, Tullet detailed his ordeal with Fate whom he apparently met in a chatroom several years ago. Tullet decided to visit Fate in the Philippines to further push their relationship.
During his visit, Tullet was asked by Fate to live in a house near hers as the latter was living with her male cousin, his children, and a maid. Thinking that Filipinos were conservative, Tullet decided to rent a house and even bought a few pieces of furniture and some appliances for it. Tullet also purchased a vehicle. Since he didn’t have a driving license, Fate was the one who drove his car.
Before Tullet left the country, Fate borrowed a huge amount of money in order to open their computer cafe.
Unfortunately, Tullet could no longer contact Fate upon returning to his country. He even attempted to contact Fate’s family, but they reportedly acted like they didn’t know him.
Years later, Tullet found Fate’s Facebook page. He decided to set up a Facebook profile using the name and information of one of Fate’s friends so that she will accept his friend request. Tullet apologized for what he did, but denied blackmailing Fate’s friends by using the account he created.
When Tullet finally had the chance to chat with Fate on Facebook, the latter initially denied knowing him and even accused him of scamming and blackmailing her. Eventually, Fate admitted that the computer units in their shop were damaged due to flooding.
Tullet also discovered that the male cousin Fate was living with was actually her husband and the children were theirs. He is urging Filipino netizens to spread his message to warn others about Fate.
Fate also reportedly accused Tullet of molesting her daughter, but the foreigner denied her accusations.
According to Tullet, he only wants Fate to apologize to him for everything she did.
