3. Fluid-filled swelling on the upper eyelid
It could be a chalazion, also known as a meibomian cyst. It is caused by blockage of a meibomian gland in the eyelid. Although it can become infected and sore, it’s not painful as compared to stye.
Doctors suggest to apply hot compress to alleviate the discomfort. The warmth may increase blood flow and loosen the blockage.
