Former light heavyweight contender Yusaf “Mack Attack” Mack confessed he was bisexual following his claims of being drugged and forced to perform in a gay porn film.
The boxing world and fans were shocked when a video of the 35-year-old boxing star having sex with two men recently surfaced on a professional gay porn site called DawgPound USA. Although he admitted he was offered $4,500 to appear in an adult film, he said that when they arrived on the set, he was given a pill and some vodka after which he blacked out.
He issued a public apology after his claims were countered by DawgPound USA who said they will pursue legal action against Mack.
He told WTXF, “I’m gay. I’m tired of holding it in, it is what it is. I live my life. I’m gay. It was all a lie to try to cover myself up.”
In his statement, Mack said, “This is an issued public apology from my heart. I want to address a few situations with the first being the false claims I made about being drugged during the (DawgPoundUSA.com) film.”
“I did participate in the adult film because at the time I needed money.” He later on explained that his life was completely destroyed after the gay film controversy so he tried to cover it up and deny the truth rather than accept the fact that he was leading a secret double life.
After reflecting about the things he had done and how he hurt his loved ones, he decided to come clean. “I want to say sorry to my children and my ex-fiancée, I am so sorry that I was a coward and hid a huge part of my life from you all. I’m not looking for sympathy or even understanding, I’ve kept this secret for a long time.” He also added that it’s time to move forward, saying, “this is me walking in my truth.”
The retired boxer also thanked his supporters for being with him through this fight.
As for his family, the father of ten said he and his fiancee had split. Although his other children have been supportive, his eldest daughter, 23, didn’t react as he expected, saying, “Kill yourself. You embarrass us.”
Meanwhile, DawgPound USA hasn’t yet confirmed whether or not they will still sue the boxer.
