Japan. Yasuomi Hirai was arrested in Kobe, Tokyo for hiding in the drain allegedly to take upskirt photos of female passersby.
The 28-year-old was caught last August 16 after a woman noticed his hair sticking out of the storm drain. It was reported that Yasuomi had squeezed himself into the 60 centimeters deep and 55 centimeters wide gutter for five long hours to take upskirt videos and photos of passing women using his smartphone. The hole was located on a road in front of a bank where several female students from nearby women’s universities walk daily.
It was on November 9 that Yasuomi was taken into custody at his home. During the police investigation, he admitted to the offense.
This wasn’t his first time to be arrested for a similar crime, reports Rocket News 24. Back in 2013, he was issued a police warning and arrested after photos and videos taken from inside the drain were discovered on his phone. During a police interrogation, the Japanese man said if he could be born again, “I would want to be the street.
