Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual has finally revealed his true sexuality. At least according to a satire site anyway.
According to satirical news portal Manila Link, the 38-year-old heartthrob, who has been a constant subject of gay rumors for the past years, admitted that he had been in a relationship with both women and men.
In 2011, Pascual’s high-profile relationship with actress KC Concepcion ended on bad terms following speculations that the actor was having an affair with a male ABS-CBN talent.
Several reports revealed that Concepcion learned about it after allegedly catching the two in bed.
In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda on the defunct ABS-CBN talk show The Buzz, Concepcion admitted their split but refused to give details about it.
“PJ knows exactly why we broke up. He knows exactly why,” Concepcion told Abunda.
Almost four years after their split, the ex-lovers finally ended their rift during the ASAP 20 show in London in September this year.
Despite the former lovers’ recent reconciliation, the popular leading man still faces controversies involving his sexuality. But Pascual chooses to simply ignore his bashers.
“Masakit, di ba? Pero parang sana kilala mo ako bago mo ako sabihan ng ganyan. Kinikibit-balikat ko na lang,” Pascual told journalist Anthony Taberna during an episode of Tapatan ni Tunying.
(It hurts, right? But I think you should get to know me first before you say that. I just simply ignore it.)
Regarded as one of the most notorious satirical news sites in the Philippines, Manila Link is known for releasing trending hoax reports involving famous personalities in the country.
Several netizens were tricked after it published the hoax news titled Kris Aquino on Maria Ozawa: “Ilang lalake na ang gumamit sa kanya?” went viral. In the article, Aquino allegedly asked the controversial question after reporters asked her to comment on Ozawa, a Japanese actress and a former AV idol, being open to dating her brother President Benigno Aquino III.
